It’s Apple Cider Season!

We started our Cobblers Apple Fest day in the field gathered together and sharing something we are feeling grateful for. We sang a song, learned how to greet aliens with a movement, and chased a delicious “moose” around like a pack of wolves! Then snack, and many more riddles before we got to pressing cider.

We chopped, smashed, pressed all sorts of apples, while others practiced throwing hatchets into targets and used a small machete to slice apples in midair, to be pressed of course! We then broke into our apple games. We had a relay race, apple bobbing on a string, apple toss, and of course cider drinking with lunch!

After lunch and full of cider, we went up to our camp to collect our shirts from camp and have some free time. We then spent a good amount of time searching for our sit spots that we will return to week after week to watch the seasons change. This is a spot to sit quietly and blend into the world around us to see what we can notice.

To finish off the fun day, we played one more game of Terror of the Stump, as the hungry ants tried to steal food from the Tiger Beetles nest.

Looking forward to another fun and adventurous day next week at the Cobble!
