City Nature Explorers

The beauty of nature is that it is alive, full of wonder, and present in all types of places: cities, meadows, deep forest, downtown, on rooftops, in parks, and all around. In these two videos, former Flying Deer instructor JJ Luceno offers ideas for tapping into nature in the midst of the city!

A little bit about JJ …

JJ Luceno is usually found tight-roping between the plant world and the story universe. She has worked as an educator in many settings: in the woods and urban gardens with children; in shelters and community health centers, supporting families; and having challenging and exciting conversations about heath, puberty, and lots in between. With a background in documentary film, JJ believes in the undeniable need for liberatory education, and hopes that storytelling and skill-sharing will help us reimagine the ways we can care for ourselves, each other, and this planet we call home.
