What to Expect
The program focuses on free outdoor exploration in which toddlers can move at their own pace. Families will enjoy:
- Slow, sensory-focused nature walks that encourage noticing sights, sounds, and textures along the way
- Nature-themed stories and simple songs
- Hands-on, seasonal activities, such as creating art with natural materials or simple gardening
There will be time for a snack and access to our teaching barn should anyone need a change or break from the group.
Goals of the Program
For young children, the benefits of the program include:
- Fostering an early love for nature
- Supporting sensory exploration and motor development
- Encouraging curiosity and confidence
- Creating meaningful caregiver-child experiences outdoors
- Supporting parents/caregivers around healthy development and safe risk-taking
This is a caregiver-accompanied program. Adults are encouraged to participate, observe, and support their child’s exploration.
What to Bring

- Sturdy shoes
- Snack and water
