Snakes and Worms and Bats and things

We started our Forest K day at the Cobble in the field hopping around like frogs, creeping around like snakes and inch worms and avoiding being eaten by bats (Bats and Moths Game).

We enjoyed the morning sunshine doing snack and blew dandelion seeds in the wind. We couldn’t be more comfortable at our forest site! The leaves have all filled in on the sugar maples and our site is comfy and shady.

Up to our forest home we climbed. We had many stations going on today. Rock drilling was being done by many and they walked away with their own necklaces, too. Bottling of our willow tincture was a real hit and everyone was excited to bottle up our medicine we had made a few weeks before. Others carved Jedi Training sticks.

When all our crafts were done, we played Jedi Training before lunch. Then it was time for lunch and a story about Ubuntu boto, the spirit of generosity and community, from the Zulu people.
